911 Advisory Board
The 911 Service Plan established a 911 Board and within the Van Buren County plan, the 911 Board is advisory in nature and provides advice to the County Board, the Sheriff, and the 911 Director regarding the operation of Central Dispatch as well as the implementation of the 911 Final Service Plan and other 911 services for Van Buren County.

Boundary Commission
A commission whose function is to decide disputes between cities, townships, and villages.

Community Corrections Advisory Board
Appointed by the Van Buren County Board of Commissioners, the Van Buren County Community Corrections Advisory Board (CCAB) is responsible for community corrections planning and policy-making with regards to the community corrections funding received from the Michigan Office of Community Corrections (MOCC).

Department of Health & Human Services Board
Act as an agent for Van Buren Board of Commissioners in development of coordinated approaches to delivery of services between the DHHS and public and private social agencies with Van Buren County

Jury Board
This board's primary function is to provide oversight for the court jury qualification and selection process.

Land Bank Authority
The mission is to revitalize communities and foster economic development by returning tax-foreclosed properties to productive use, eliminating blight, and creating affordable housing.

Local Emergency Planning Committee
The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) of 1986, also known as Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), was enacted by Congress to help local communities prepare for and respond to chemical emergencies.

The PCAP purpose is to provide communication, involvement and education on issues related to the Palisades Nuclear Power Plan shutdown and decommissioning.

PLAT Board
The Plat Board serves as board that approves preliminary and final Plats (Subdivisions) before they are approved by LARA. Plats are used as mechanism to make land divisions in real estate.

Public Transit Local Advisory Council (LAC)
This Council's task is to make decisions regarding the Van Buren County Public Transit.

Van Buren Community Mental Health Authority
The purpose of the Board shall be to implement the provisions of Act 258, of the Public Acts of 1974, of the State of Michigan, hereinafter referred to as the "Mental Health Code".

Van Buren County Building Authority
The Authority is a governmental non-profit corporation authorized by state law and created by the County Board of Commissioners, and is managed by its own five-member Commission.
