Van Buren County Sheriff News Release -24001501 Fugitive arrest


Nature of Incident:  Fugitive arrest (parole absconder), Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of Meth

Location:  23000 Block of Lee Drive, Porter Township, Van Buren County, Michigan


Brandon Lee Bloomfield 33 year old male from Lawton, MI

Amanda Schiero-Farrow 35 Year old female from Mattawan, MI

Lodged Charges Bloomfield: 

Fleeing and Eluding

Possession of Meth

Parole Absconder

Schiero-Farrow had a felony warrant out of Kalamazoo for Dangerous Drugs

Investigating Deputies:  Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Michigan Department of Corrections

Assisting Agencies:  MSP K9 Unit


On 01/31/2024 Deputies were involved in a high speed chase involving Brandon Lee Bloomfield and his passenger Amanda Schiero-Farrow. This chase started in Paw Paw and went east into Kalamazoo County. The driver Bloomfield and his Passenger Schiero-Farrow fled after abandoning the car in a Trailer Park off of KL Ave. A Western Michigan police K9 was brought in but was unsuccessful in locating the suspects. On 02/06/2024 Michigan Department of Corrections agents got information that the 2 were hiding out at an address in the 23000 Block of Lee drive in Porter Township. Narcotics Detectives along with MDOC agents and MSP K9 units started surveillance early in the morning while they attempted to get probable cause for a search warrant. A search warrant was drafted by Narcotics detectives from Van Buren County and agents with MDOC. Narcotics detectives and MDOC Agents executed a search warrant in the 23000 block of Lee Drive at 1330 hours. Brandon Bloomfield and Amanda Schiero-Farrow surrendered without incident. A second search warrant was drafted for narcotics and methamphetamine was located in the house. A third subject came to the door when the search warrant was executed with meth paraphernalia in his pocket and detectives will be submitting charges on him for possession of methamphetamine. This case is being forwarded to the Van Buren Prosecutor for charges. Bloomfield and Schiero-Farrow were lodged at the Van Buren County Jail on multiple warrants.
