Deputies learned that an off-duty Paramedic was passing by and noticed the ATV on its side and the 58-year-old driver face down in the grass. The Paramedic turned over the driver and found that he was not breathing and turning blue, 911 was called and CPR was immediately started. After CPR was initiated, he began to breathe and became somewhat responsive. On duty Paramedics arrived and took over treatment. The driver was transported to Bronson Hospital and is in stable condition. Deputies found that the driver had been operating the ATV on private property and for an unknown reason lost control and crashed. Sheriff Abbott states that the quick actions of the off-duty Paramedic, saved the drivers life, without this the outcome could have been much different.
