Narrative:
Sheriff Daniel E Abbott reports that Deputies were dispatched to the M-43/M-40 for a 2-car minor injury accident. Vehicle 1 was traveling South on M-40 Highway coming up on the intersection with a green light. Vehicle 2 was traveling West on M-43 Highway. Vehicle 2 did not stop at the red light and entered the intersection. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2, in the utility trailer it was hauling. Vehicle 1 came to rest on the West side of the intersection. Vehicle 2 was able to stop on the shoulder after the crash. There was heavy damage to Vehicle 1 and the Utility trailer. Driver 1 complained of shoulder pain and was checked by Ems. She elected to go to the hospital on her own with family members. Driver 2 was issued several citations for his hazardous actions. The intersection was slowed for about an hour, but traffic was not shut down.
