Narrative:
Sheriff Daniel E Abbott reports that on 11/8/2023 around 1:00am. A Deputy was on routine patrol when they witnessed a truck driving recklessly and entering the parking lot of a gas station on M43 and M40 Highways. The vehicle stopped briefly at the closed business. When deputies attempted to contact the driver, the 2018 Ford F150 with its sole occupant fled the scene at a high rate of speed West on M43. The Deputy initiated lights and sirens and began pursuing the suspect. The suspect attempted to go off road on 36th Ave in Waverly Twp, the driver then abandoned the truck and fled on foot. As the investigation progressed information was obtained that the suspect was now at a residence on 28th Ave after being picked up a distance from the scene. Deputies were able to locate and arrest the driver without incident. This complaint is still under investigation
