Suspect Information: 32yr old white male out of the Cassopolis
Investigating Deputies: Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit
Narrative:
Sheriff Daniel E. Abbott reports that Narcotics detectives executed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 79 thousand block of County Road 669. The suspect vehicle was stopped in the middle of the road and when detectives activated their lights the 32 year old driver wanted to know why he was being pulled over. Detectives advised him he was stopped in the middle of the road and that he was not able to park in the middle of a county road and the driver stated he was smoking marijuana and thought he was being followed. Detectives were advised by the driver that he had meth in the car. Detectives asked how much, and the driver stated maybe a couple ounces. Detectives located over 35 grams of meth and other drug paraphernalia. Detectives conducted an interview with the suspect and advised him that they would be getting a warrant for his arrest for Possession with intent to deliver meth.
