Calls of service for our office in the month of August including traffic stops was 1,399. The overall calls for service up to date for the year which includes Police, Fire, EMS, Misc is at 48,965.
Uniform Response was dispatched to a suspicious situation with a subject late at night north of Paw Paw. Upon investigation, it was found that he was a lost kayaker. The female that was with him was still lost on the river in the woods. Deputies were able to find her with a safe recovery and outcome.
Uniform Response took a stolen quad complaint south of Lawrence. It is a 2016 Polaris 450, Green & Black in color. Anyone with any information is asked to call our office.
Uniform Response took a stolen trailer complaint just N/W of Hartford. The victim crashed their vehicle with a trailer attached. They left the scene at 6:30pm and returned at 8:00pm. Upon returning, someone had unhooked their 2015 assembled trailer and left the scene with it. The plate on it was E115001. See picture attached of the trailer. Anyone with any information is asked to call our office.
Our office is looking for assistance as well from a break in at a residence in Paw Paw Township. There were two very distinct items taken from it that someone may recognize. See the pictures attached. Again, if you know who did it, know where these items are at, please contact our office.
There continues to be an influx of people being arrested not from our county in our county. We continue to see people coming into our community to commit crimes, being caught, being convicted, then sentenced to jail or prison.
